After confirming what I already knew to be true - the F-Type design looks best in the body style it deserved and finally got - I set out to make a list of the people I know, and have influence over, to then convince to put down a deposit on one of these Jaaaaaags.
This is chapter 1. I assure you there will be more to follow. I can be quite pursuasive.

I've told this story previously on Oppo but it bears repeating. About 2 months ago (maybe longer?) I was on my way to work, I lived in the "back woods" and there was a fairly un-used curvy 2-mile back road I had to take to get to the main roads (I could still give rally type pace notes from memory for that road...) One morning I'm about to turn on to said road, coming the other direction I spotted a new F-Type V8 S, he was turning left onto the road... I waited, and flagged him on ahead of me, he smiled and gave a knowing nod. I rolled all my windows down, turned off anything that would disrupt the noise and tried my damnedest to keep up, oh my sweet lord baby jesus was it awesome. After that we ended up both stopping at the same Wawa for coffee, I admired the car, he gave me his card (he owns an exotic car dealership) and told me if I ever wanted to take one for a test drive just give him a call and he'd set it up. Unfortunately 4 days later I was moving 500 miles away and I really didn't have the time... I still regret not calling the guy. I figure if I sell my 13 charger, 09 charger, and 69 Camaro... and re-mortgage my house I can swing one... but I now live in Michigan and drive all over the state year round, and F-Type's are not known for winter long distance cruising... but dammit I would do nasty, god awful things for one.

Reading your story was like a voyage to the inner core of a car enthusiast and back. What a trip! I have an F-Type story too. It involves spotting my dad in one halfway around the world via the spotter site Autogespot.com. Turns out he had it for the weekend through his Land Rover/Jag dealership and cruised around the Belgian 'spotter' town of Knokke by the seaside. I was so jelly you don't even know!
The bit where you rolled down your window and turned down all other noise is almost an exact quote from my 'about me' section of my blog ( alexotics ). Glad to find out I'm not crazy!

Honestly, that may be one of the best looking new cars on the road. It is classy, yet sporty. Super badass. I love it. It gets a spot in my dream garage.

Definitely not crazy. I roll my window down to hear a cars exhaust on a daily basis. I read about them for hours online and in print, so when that 911 pulls up next to me damn right I wanna hear it in person.

Remember though the Brits get rain all damn year! As far as the snow and ice, hrm not sure how to fix that problem.
I say it's worth it if you can actually afford it without eating only mustard sandwhiches.

In terms of cars under 100k there is nothing I can think of that even comes close in terms of looks that is new. Very different too, doesn't look like it's copying any other car nor like a repeat of a previous model. Unique and beautiful.
