Is this like a small side street?
I don't see the problem. I park my car on a side street that's very busy. The street is narrow,not a main road, but gets lots of traffic, so parking off to the sides a bit where the car hangs off the pavement is OK. However, the street doesn't have a sidewalk.

No, it's a major east/west street through downtown. There's a 6" curb just to the left of the car. That's a sidewalk - it narrows down from a wide, high traffic pavement to a single-width one just ahead of thew car. That's also a parking lot just out of frame to the right.

No, that's a used car lot. They park cars in the entrance when they're closed.
