I've decided to create a new little series called "Hot or Not". Considering yesterday's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! went quite well, I figured these would be easy to bang out and fun for everyone. Here's today's suspect... A lovely Rover SD1 Vitesse in moonraker blue.

HOT. The repair bills are not (parts scarcity plus Rover build quality). But the car? So very hot.

To be fair, the folks at Rimmer Bros do a great job of sourcing parts for these things. You can get all the body panels you'll inevitably need due to heapings of rust. Heck, you could buy entire body shells too.

Hot. Love the BLMC Top Gear episode. This SD1 looks especially great with those wheels and that air dam on the front too.

From what I've read, that car was a tad rigged for entertainment value. Hah. The community surrounding BL cars had quite a fit after that episode!

Oh I'm sure they rigged that episode, JC's whole rear door fell off at one point! The reaction in this video just seems so candid I was fooled. Guess they have all just mastered the on-screen chemistry and scripting... Either way it makes for great TV!

A frined of mine has one of these. Nice car, when it's running. But the rust, of the rust...

RWD, V8 British bruiser with genuine rally and race heritage (up against cars like the 242 Turbo and M635CSi).

Hot as fuck.

If Rover had stuck to their guns making cars like this I reckon they might be around today (the 90s would have been a bit rocky though, so maybe not).

HOT. Especially the '80s 3500 FI models with sorted build quality.
