Boxy cars have been around for decades and they don't seem to be going anywhere. The Wrangler, Mercedes Benz G class, and Nissan Cube are just a few examples of boxy designs still being sold today (and the current-gen Wrangler is actually one of the more desirable cars on the market and really hold their value well... even pre-Pentastars).
Some of my favorite box-on-wheels are...
The 90s Town Cars, especially the 95-97 facelifted ones. They just seem so elegant... and V8, RWD, Panther. I generally prefer German luxo-land yachts but if I had to choose an American one, this would be it.
Speaking of German luxobarges... as some of you know, the W140 S Class from 92-99 is one of my favorite vehicles. A lot of people are a fan of the coupe but I actually prefer the sedan. Sure, dated as hell by today's standards but the car was a decade ahead of its time and MB spent over $1 billion developing the sedan. It's regal and beautiful. The W124 facelift from 94-95 should get an honorable mention as well.
The Volvo 240 is somewhat of a guilty pleasure. I wouldn't tell most people unless they were really into cars that they're awesome. All of you know of the 240 so I don't need to explain that one.
And of course, the 94-97 F250/350 Powerstroke. :D
How about you, Oppositelock?

INORITE
Also that T-bird, but with T-tops or the Ranchero: 70's bad taste transcending into epicness.

My old one, I miss it dearly. 1988 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 with a hopped up 4.3L V6.
It was nicknamed the "Blue Brick" due to it's aerodynamics of course (or lack there of).

I still have mine, pretty much identical to your picture except red (and it's a jimmy not a blazer). Probably my all time favorite body style due to simplicity and elegance. For a truck anyways.
Fuel economy leaves a lot to be desired though. Might just say to hell with it and throw a V8 in there.

I was going to pick the 240.. but you beat me to it... I loved them.. almost bought one as a first car, it was a 1991 sedan in white with blue cloth interior. $1500 but it had 150,000 miles, no A/C bad (fan), SRS Airbag light, and two (minor but still reported) accidents. I was so close!

NICE! Wish I could have mine back as a winter vehicle. Would be a pain to get the baby in the backseat though.
Mine actually had 92 Jimmy seats, and a cruise control system stolen from the same 92 Jimmy. WORST mechanical/electrical transfer I've ever done. BEST upgrade though.
As for the engine, I had bored it 60 over and had upgraded heads + exhaust, it drank fuel. Almost like pouring it on the ground. But it was the coolest. Also, I think with the 60 degree over bore and it being a 4.3L it was probably the biggest V6 on the road.
I found out later (this was my first truck my dad and I built it together) my dad almost threw a 350 in it.
I could have killed him because I would have loved a V8. It wasn't shy with spinning the tires with my upgraded V6 though.

Most people like the BMW 2002tii/2002 Turbo but I personally like the BMW 2000tii and the BMW 2002 Touring, both of which are much rarer than the commonly known and revered 2002tii/Turbo.

Okay
the 90-97 town car is the "aero" generation, the box body panthers existed from 79-91, and 79-89 for town cars
Also, the boxiest of the OBS fords was 87-91, which was called the "bricknose" generation

If I got a truck with one I'd leave it alone. But I probably wouldn't want to buy the visor if the truck didn't have one.
