Yes. Can't really do much age pinning down on that one, other than saying "pre-68". Not enough cues visible. It does have a Brit/RHD rear pipe, which is scarcely a shock.

It doesn't look new. Good find though ya'll, I'm not a big off-road guy and didn't think to take any pictures of any SUVs. That pic is from the 2012 Keenland Concourse, great variety of cars there.

This was a Triumph. I'm making a note here, huge success. It's hard to overstate this restoration.

TheBloody and I are the resident Land-Rover Series cultists of Oppo, by way of explanation. Here's one of similar vintage and a fancier trim package.

Yeah most likely an import.
On a side note, you missed an awesome Rovers on the Rocks, you should try to make it up one year. Come up on a Thursday, wheel Friaday and Saturday then head home Sunday.

I just got a new oil gauge line ordered, which has been one thing keeping me from driving it. That, and I think I might have a bad seal on the water pump.

That sucks, Rovers North has the kit.
I have a leak on the front of my 4.6 (almost certain it's the oil pump gasket) that is starting to get progressively worse. Not loosing any pressure really but I'm having to top up more. I probably should just bite the bullet and replace both pumps on the front sooner rather than later.

The hell of it is, this would be the water pump I put on in replacement for a water pump that went *partly* bad (slipping plastic impeller) and caused overheating - a head gasket and radiator tank damaged later, I figured out what it was.
The oil gauge line is NLA except from some dude making them in the UK and selling on eBay. Dribbling oil down the firewall is not optimal.
On the V8-to-put-in-Ranchero front, I bought a flywheel and clutch to go on my auto-fitted 4.2, so now I just need to buy an aluminumv8.com bellhousing and I'll be set. I also saw an RHD mostly-67 diesel in town the other day and met the owner. Ex-Ireland, has a capstan on it.

How have I never heard of these guys before!?! This is awesome, now I need to find a buggered 4.6 and rebuild it whilst bumping it up the bph to 300/350 using these guys... Oh wait nevermind that money is going towards a wedding... le sigh. What were we talking about?
Oh and you can't find the oil gauge line anywhere other than the UK? Huh, it seems like that should be a more common part.

I wondered why there was an immediate recommendation followed by dead silence, lol. Yep, aluminumv8 are probably my best option for getting a Super T-10 mated to the 4.2, short of engaging in machine-it-yourself tomfoolery. I didn't pick up the existing 3.9's bellhousing when I picked up the clutch because it was a Defender bellhousing, and thus stupidly deep and designed for hydraulic clutch.

Yeah they are quite ridiculous, my dad was pissed when he found the stumpy bell housings sold by Ashcroft as he had already started cutting his fire wall lol. I have a line on a 5 speed that needs rebuilding I just have to see how much the guy wants for it.

As a side note, the 3.9 I burgled the flywheel from was a Defender totalled in a 40mph offset collision with a dumpster, from which I'm told the owner walked away without a scratch. This, and leaving a salvageable engine. For all the times you tend to hear Defenders aren't safe in a wreck, you get a couple real headscratchers.
