I can't bring myself to purchase a Hot Wheels that didn't actually exist as a production model... :-/

Well, at least the regular sized Blings wheels they use nowadays aren't as atrocious as the oversized ones they used in 2006 or 2007 for their Donks line.

Yep, Hot Wheels had a Donks series once, with classic castings converted to sport the huge wheels...

Same here, even though I do buy concept cars if they're released exactly as they were presented by the manufacturer. For example, I have exactly one Ford Shelby GR1, this one:

Kinja'd!!!

Which features the same chrome body as the actual concept car. All other versions, in blue, red, black or whatever, just feel out of place.

I never saw that specific Riviera, only the Monte Carlo/Motezooma in green with massive dollar signs painted in an even greener green... I have two or three editions of the 71 Riv, all with normal bases. This one, which I did some modifications:

This one, from eBay:

And this one:

I'll take a picture of it next Sunday, it is truly silly.

It is, isn't it? I don't have that Monte Carlo anymore, I used the body on a custom stock car for a local contest and the chassis and wheels I have no idea what happened... But at least one good came from the Donks series; Mattel later retooled the 442 W30 donk car into a 442 off road car:

Kinja'd!!!

Which, IIRC, is based on an actual car.

If it helps, I still sleep with my stuffed dolphin animal....

Actually I don't but I do have a Hot Wheels poster in my room from 07 with all the cars produced. I got it in a giftbag, decided it looked cool, put it on and never thought to take it down.

If you new what happen to the wonderful massive original hotwheels my father gave me as a child as well as all ther countless others I had in the 80/90's you'd weep... I'm sorry for what was done, but they where toys and i was a child... with fireworks and rocket engines, and hammers..

I warn you, hanging around here, it's addicting. In the past 2 weeks I've bought 7 cars. Before that I bought one rarely, like once in a blue moon.
