Check for the headgaskets and AC Compressor. Also that transmission is dogshit. I had a 2000 GT Limited and that 4EAT is a lazy pile with a mind of its own.

Protip: if it's overheating and you can't afford/don't have the time/don't really care about replacing them, you can pull the thermostat and it will stop overheating.

(At least on the green one that worked.....)

And the 4EAT isn't that bad for an auto.
