I actually quit like g+, so i guess i didnt notice the switch. I guess what it boils down to is that youtube is still a really cool, really free service owned by google, so they can do what they want...so long as it doesnt break...kind of like kinja (except the breaking part)

YouTube actually created a G+ account for everyone but only if you uploaded a video. (I think) I use G+ for photo uploading on my personal account but never use the one under my channel name which just displays uploads. I'm not sure what is wrong with G+ and why everyone hates it. I think it just never caught on. Google needs to accept defeat, even if that is a lot of money, so their fans hate them less.
