Now all he needs is the P71 RWD conversion.

That would be awesome! Haha.
Or the ultimate in back to the future engineering, adapt an ecoboost SHO drivetrain.

Holy Jesus, my parent's old Astro (with working digi-dash even after 280,000+ miles) gets 198. Fuuuuuuuuuu

Did the Taurus SHO come in anything but the manual?

I only know Because I had an 86 Thunderbird with almost an identical dash.
That said, it could have also been from a Cougar.

Haha digital dash is definitely a great way to get ahead, now imagine if that astro van was twin charged, manual, rwd, mid mounted engine, no cupholders, 3 ashtrays.

I know.... It pretty much WAS mid-engined (it was RWD) but I choose front engined. The cupholders were all aftermarket 'cause it was a conversion van.
I was planning on buying it from my parents and V8 swapping it when I was young and dumb. It's quite easy.
Might need to adjust the score.

Imagine a Citroën BX Digit. Digital dash, hydropneumatic suspension, French, 28 years old, no cupholders, 3 ash trays. Gazillion points, and rightfully so.
I checked, and despite the 4 cylinder 105-ish hp engine and it being FWD it gets 215 points.

engine swap with something from a different country - mixed origin is 100 points

Here's the guy's how-to article:

Apparently this dash was commonly used in the Taurus LX and some of the Sable models as well.

My uncle used to have a Lagonda when I was a kid. Not sure the Jalopmeter gives it its just desserts, with only 230ish points. And that's being generous on the ' working digital dash'...
