Thankfully, this guy popped by on my commute to make damn sure I remembered it today. (And yes, I was stopped when I took the picture)

What I really would like to know is the events leading up to this decision. If it was a planned deer kill, he probably would've lined the trunk and brought it home that way. So I'm thinking either he just grabbed some roadkill (plausible based on the state of the deer) or that it was a planned kill and the trunk is stuffed with even more of them.

There, hopefully that should fix it. Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome to my childhood. I still can't get over the fact the the high school I went to got opening day for hunting off every year. #RedneckHoliday

Haha this was probably really close to where I am right now. I work on the North side of GR.
About half the office here is out hunting right now.

It was at the turnaround on the East Beltline in front of Celebration Cinema, so yeah, probably pretty close.

It would seem that Kinja really doesn't want us posting pictures of people transporting deer :p

Yep, I know the street! Pass it every day on my way to class. If you got gas at the Knapp's Corner Meijer any time over the summer, there's a solid chance I sold it to you :p We have had a couple black SHOs come through.

Closest I've been to there is on the highway to Detroit :P My entire dad's side of the family lives around the Dowagiac/Niles/Three Rivers area, which is probably pretty similar.

I've only bought gas there once in a blue moon. So it's unlikely it was me. Do they sell 93 there? Haha.

Yep, I've gotta get it for my GTI. They also have E85 if you're looking for it.

Haha, the SHO will never have E85, haha. I usually get my gas at the exit to my work (Fruitridge), they have 93 there.
How are you liking going to school here? Once upon a time (8 yrs ago) I almost went to GVSU.

I figured not, can it even take E85?
I'm going to GRCC following a less-than-exemplary year at MSU, and so far it's great. As far as teaching ability and course organization is concerned, almost all of my professors/classes are much better than at State.

Nope it won't take E85, I know of at least one guy that has modified his to make it possible though. He is running a very high horsepower ecoboost too.
Haha That's my grip with state, it seems you get saddled with a lot of large lecture halls and teaching assistants, where as teachers at a community college are actually there to teach a majority of the time, not pawn it off to teaching assistants while they do research. Which is why I am glad I went to Western, the teachers there still do research, but not to the extent that State does.

I kinda figured not. I kinda thought about doing it to the GTI for like a day or two, but it's such a PITA and I think it would wind up costing me more than it'd save.
And yeah, that's kinda exactly how it went. Granted, that's not why it didn't go well for me, but it also didn't help. I still plan on going back, though, since I'm hoping it'll be worth it when I get further along in my degree, since State does have some great resources.

Yeah, I'm sure once you get far enough into a degree things are better.
You ever go to any kind of car meets around here?

I usually go to a few local shows every year with my family, GR Auto Gallery has their Free Lunch Fridays (I only made it to a couple because of my job) & their big car show every year. I was at the 28th St. Cruise a couple of times, too.
Not particularly close, but the Gilmore museum sorta near Kalamazoo is a must-see if you haven't already, especially when they hold the Red Barn Spectacular. The sheer volume of cars that shows up is kinda overwhelming. I can't remember specifically, but I'm pretty sure it was well over 1,000 all said and done. It's the only show I've been to that can even come close to Concours d'Elegance at St. Johns, which I went to a few years ago.
I'd like to get into Autocrossing/Track days(especially since I'm about 15-20 minutes from Grattan), but I've never really gotten around to actually doing it.

Oh awesome! Thanks for the tips. I lived in Kalamazoo for almost 6 years, but never made it over to the Gilmore museum, haha.
To make matters worse, I lived off of 28th st when the cruise was going on, but couldn't make it.
I've been to Grattan to pit-crew for my buddy, he raced his motorcycle there a few times, it was great fun to see all the goings on! I'd definitely be interested in checking out a track day. Maybe I'd just be an observer there the first time. Before I consider entering my land barge, haha.
