Looks sweet, I've got a ton of airplanes and a couple of helicopters that i have no time for anymore, everything from backyard fliers to a sweet hanger 9 Cessna with a gas engine. http://www.hangar-9.com/Products/Defau…

Nice! I'd love a big Cessna someday, but I'm hoping for a 150 aerobat

2,000 watts? Geez are you flying a plane or cooking a ham?!
disclaimer: I don't know what I'm talking about but that sounds like a big number.

The 182 Skylane flies like a big trainer, it's a real sweetheart.

That's a serious prop! What ESC are you running? I'm assuming you're running 10S LiPo, what capacity?
Gotta post video of the maiden!!!

10S, 5000mah (2 5s in series)
It's an 80 amp HV esc. The batteries are only 20c, I measured 55 amps. Considering it's around 15 pounds, it should be sporty.
Little worried about CG. Probably should have put the motor on standoffs, but I think it'll be ok

A typical microwave is 1000w.
It's about 3 horsepower

Damn that's some serious power there! If the CG is reasonable, you'll get it off the ground and be able to trim it, then land and adjust it. How high is the CG compared to the thrust line? A really high wing might mess with that and you could get massive pitch on throttle up...

I'm proud of myself cause I understand perfectly what you two are saying.
I have a Traxxas Slash VXL with the stock 3300mAh Nimh, Velineon 3500 10-turn, 3500kv brushless motor, and VXL-3s 200-320A ESC.
