A sock under your mattress.
At least it won't screw you over.

Whatever one is cheapest. Honestly that probably the answer. I've had Geico, Progressive and esurance and they've all been fine. I was in a minor accident when I had Progressive and everything was very easy. If you're willing to drive like a grandma for a couple weeks you can save some money with Progressive by using the snapshot thing.

Now it is apparently 6 months. They reduce your rates after 30 days, but require you to keep the sensor plugged in to the OBD2 port for 6 months
Source: I just spoke to them today

I went with Erie, cheaper by about $50 per month. Look at a bundle of renters insurance, it dropped my rate by $2 and I got renters insurance. Also, go in and talk to somebody. they are more likely to bend some rules and get you a good rate, they have more feelings than a computer

USAA. They don't try to screw you over as much as other insurance companies.

Been with Amica Mutual for 30+ years. Reasonable, accessible, and by God I can get a person on the phone quickly.

I see that they get good reviews, now that you mention it. Thanks!

Thanks! They seem like a good option.

Haha! Very true.

Be careful of some of the cut rates. I had a customer hit a deer and ended up going in the ditch. ElCheapo insurance counted this as 2 separate accidents and charged her 2 deductibles.

Thanks! I've seen the commercials for the snapshot thing and wondered if it was effective, but it is definitely worth looking into.

Thanks! I've heard good things, but I'm not eligible (closest relative to serve is my grandfather).

Thanks for the advice; that's pretty crappy.

Liberty Mutual is also good from what I have heard. Competitive rates, and most people I know with them have been happy so far.
