!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I wrote a week ago had a regular amount of views for a Oppo post with an oversteering car picture (a couple dozen), then yesterday it made Best of Oppo. Great, but it now has over 20k hits. The Best of Oppo post that brought some attention to it has less than 2,000. It didn't make the FP but it has more views than most FP articles get. I don't understand it.

My guess is that a few automotive forums also linked it. I GS'd the title... looks like it was shared to at least one forum . Same thing happened to me a while ago.

Yeah Google heavily trolls Oppo. If I ever need to find something I posted, its easier to just google my screen name, and what I posted about than to use the search bar at the top of the main oppo page.

That search function doesn't even work well. I've searched for words in the title of an article (when I didn't remember the full article title) and it's come up with stuff almost completely unrelated that's much older.

What's funny is just how clueless and gullible some people are. They read a headline and, because it sounds like an official headline, they believe it. I knew it was a joke as soon as I read the headline, because seriously, an entire RWD lineup of Toyotas? To be fair, you wrote the article so well, it sounded extremely official. It's one of those things where some people can't see the forest for the trees.

I've got mixed feelings about this stuff happening. Sure, it's cool that Oppo posts are getting coverage and tons of page views, but less than a year ago, this place was a secret little corner of the internet. I read Jalopnik for month or so before I even found it.

The top two posts on the Best of Oppo get a link on the FP (because Kinja) and it's not uncommon for those to get more clicks than the Best of post itself. That said, your post did get picked up else where so that's always good.
