OK, not really, but did explore a few natural hollows and caves over the weekend. It's amazing what millions of years of glacial activity can do.

I hike without them for several reasons, the primary one being conditioning. In the warmer months, I run barefoot/minimalist 5K's and 10K's, and hiking sans-shoes is an efficient way to toughen up the callus that I need for extended runs. The goal next year is to run a half-marathon, and I hope I'm ready for it.
