Easily one of my favorite trucks of all time for a variety of reasons. Goddamn I wish this was available during tax season. 7.3 diesel with a Banks turbo kit and shockingly little rust for $4k? I need some capital, you guys.

These used to be all over Mexico but I think I only ever saw one up here (that didn't have Mexican plates). The original Excursion :)

They really only made a precious few number of them. They were not exactly factory but often sold through Ford Dealerships as a sort of Suburban competitor. IIRC when fully kitted out they went for like (non-inflation adjusted) ~$65k

umm might buy. Hard to tell the rust situation with those fender flares on there.

Absolutely not. In fact, I'd be glad to see it off my local craigslist so it can stop mocking my lack of money. Trust me, if I could afford it, I would have bought I already.

Mexico has a lot of weird versions of vehicles. Like the 2nd gen RamCharger...

In any case, there is a company whose name I can't remember converting new Super Dutys (Super Duties?) into Excursions. They look supremely badass and only cost a mere $80k...

True. And ford's from this era would rot those fenders off in the span of a single winter. Especially in Jersey... However, the lack of rust around the tailgate/doors gives me some hope for it.

Gotcha. So these weren't rolling down Ford assembly lines, they were aftermarket conversions. That explains why I'd never seen or heard of them before.

No one in your household with some jewelry you can sell? A child you could auction off? I really think you need to acquire this then take it out in the mud, flog it senseless and report back.

Yeah Centurion (hence the name) was the company that did all of the work. They did some other stuff to like paint F-350s in colors only suitable for the late 80s and then inexplicably also give them 6 doors for reasons I don't quite understand.

Hah! As a broke college student with precious little to my name except for a coupe run-down beaters, I really wish I could buy this. And I would absolutely take it mudding at every available opportunity. But, alas, I'm forced to only admire it.

I honestly can't remember. I have a faint recollection of seeing it on there before a while back, but I can't say definitively.

OK I am going to have to send someone to check it, I will deal with it and let you know how it turns out. Doesnt look too bad but as a coachbuilt it could be funky

Yup. Definitely have to check the seals around that removable top and rust under those fender flares. Seems to be bubbling a little around the doors and tailgate. Not cancer, mind you, but still, Jersey salts the ever loving bullshit out of its roads. Also, if the back window's motor isn't frozen or shorted out, that is rarer than a Unicorn's fart.

I have about $4000 in the bank... but it's supposed to be a down payment on the wife's next car. Also fuel is expensive
