I think Jalopitude should be measured in more than just the car you drive. There should be consideration given to the driving itself, the joy, skill and seriousness of operating a vehicle, regardless of what that vehicle is.

The math behind the Jalopmeter is, well, interesting , to say the least. VW Passat wagon + turbocharger + automatic + FWD = -5 points
It seems you even lose points for having unit body construction, which is pretty much impossible to avoid nowadays...

How did you only get 10 points for a Miata? I just entered the info for one and came out with 126 - 116 for an NA depending on age and assuming it's a manual, and 116-106 for an NB assuming the same things.

Looking back, I had pop-up blocker on and I never received the little pop-up windows. I just went back in and now my results are becoming much better.
