Dropping videos (and pictures) in the old editor was a snap. But the new one is tricky, my method is copy the embed code then put the editor in HTML mode and insert. But this is a pain in the ass if I want to add text as well. Anyone know an easier way? Here is a nice NSX for your troubles.

I take it you mean non-youtube videos? With those, I just post the video URL and it automatically magics it into an embedded video.

Really, that is it? I don't need to be in HTML mode?

Is it my imagination or can we no longer use an image address and now have to upload the photos?

You have just copy/paste the photo...I know, I was used to copying the URL. But just "copy image" then paste works fine.

You can simply paste the url in the window and it will work.

Does it work for all videos or just youtube and vimeo still? If not — you can click in and out of the HTML editor or the following codes should get you through in just 'HTML' mode
text between these two tags will be their own paragraph
, if you just want a line break but not a new paragraph use the

Going to echo a lot of the community response here (thanks guys) by saying adding content such as images and youtube/vimeo is as easy as dropping the URL into the editor, no need for HTML.

I think I was really thrown off that a "new" Kinja thing is actually better than a previous Kinja thing. It was like the Twilight Zone or something. In all seriousness, the new editor is very cool, and thanks for the clarification.
