Put the M5/6's 5.0 liter V10 into a Mazda Miata. And then hoon. Hoon for days.

S85 < S62
I'll take the low-end torque of the E39's V8 over the high-revving power of the E60's V10 any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I'll take the V10 because DAT SOUND!

While it would be fun, don't you think the tremendous weight of the engine would diminish the handling substantially?

I want that V10 installed in EVERYTHING!

I'd rather keep it in the BMW family and drop it into an e30

Who needs handling when you have POOOWWWAAAAAAAARRR!

Yeah...how about no. It would be better to cut the V10 in half and have an I5. That way the power of it wouldn't overwhelm the platform and the weight distribution wouldn't change, while you still get a relatively powerful high revving motor that sounds awesome.

I'm sorry for my friend here, he meant "L" " S " "1"

Why skimp on size when you have POWAAAAR? i.e. drive a stock m5?
