Last Saturday was the Lord Mayor's Parade in central London. Aston Martin bedecked a Vanquish in the Union Flag and proudly prowled the streets in support of British industry. The number plate was 1AML.
Meanwhile, Paul Garlick of Pistonheads tweeted a photo of a blue Vanquish and said " I've had worse cars for the weekend. " The number plate was 1AML.

Were there also non-road legal cars taking part in the parade (i.e. racing cars)? I'm sure AM would get away with a little poetic licence, provided the car was trailered (or wore trade plates) to get to and from the parade. The 1 AML plate is their most famous PR tool, after all (OK, if you exclude the James Bond shenanigans).

Nope. Aston Martin posted a photo of it wrapped in the Union Jack on Thursday. There were definitely 2 cars with the same plate!
