One is a female that makes flirty content aimed at lonely internet guys, the other is a world renowed alpha male race car driver already dating a supermodel/dancer.

Guess what the internet is generally made of?

As an 18-year-old college freshman, I think it's because all of my peers view the real world as a strange waiting room for when they can't get wifi. If Hamilton made a shitty Youtube show (or was a shitty hip-hop artist) he would have ten times as many fans.

I stand by my point - most people "liking" videos and pages are not F1 fans. Sadly, this pattern is probably not going to change in the near future. Maybe if it was the 80s and we had senna, piquet, and prost battling it out on the streets of detroit and phoenix, Americans would be all over them.

The world does not revolve around social media. Sadly, your post is an indicator that people are being conditioned to think it is so. May I inquire as to how old you are? :)

And I'm getting the feeling that the girl you label as normal, isn't. Well, in the sense that her videos seem engineered to a degree. Teens are a problematic audience to market to these days, with their high demand for direct peer interaction, and this is what the girl/production company is offering to them. Heck, your entire post would be awesome marketing for her, but I'm not saying it is, cause it's in a completely the wrong place. :D

As for answering the original question: The amount of people that follow F1 closely and actually like Ham VS all the teenage girls... in the world. And you have your base pools for likes. Honestly, it coulda been much worse.

Looking at it pragmatically, since "Jamie" produces and publishes content, she likely uses facebook as a vector for said content's delivery. Lewis Hamilton... probably does not. Therefore there is a practical reason to like her page- getting vids -whereas Hamilton's page posts... what? Fluff pieces about him? "Hamilton is racing today"?

I like Hamilton a lot from what I've seen of the man, but I wouldn't be surprised if that page is only barely affiliated with him.

Well on the F1 break, he did post some cool personal pictures. But on his normal days, youre right he may have someone who manages his account.

One takes risks on the track and the other makes home videos.
Obviously i would rather have Hamilton's place.
It doesnt matter, i just was amazed how things work these days because of internet.

Well in the world of internet, you can get all the fame, but none of the money.
