...because I let my previous Nokia 5230 fully discharge for the first time in its life, and once it was charged it didn't turn on anymore. The poor sod got physically hammered for that. And now I just learned that my new Nokia with Windows 8 won't pair with my laptop with XP through USB. Nema problema, tomorrow I'll buy a Bluetooth device (that I had, but I lost) for my laptop that has integrated WiFi but no Bluetooth. At least I'll be able to post to Oppo from my phone, since it has the actual Internet and not the Internet Mobile like the previous one. But I'm still learning how to use it, and it's not that easy... at least for these first 10 hours.

I have an iPhone for my personal line and had a BB for my work cell. Tried and hated Android before so just got a Samsung Windows Phone. What do you think about Windows Phone 8 so far?
I like that it feels more fluid than Android and I like the Samsung hardware. But other than that it feels pretty meh to me. I don't care about app selection much since I have my iPhone. I'm just struggling to see what Windows Phone offers other than Live Tiles. IE is much better than it was in the Windows Mobile days but it's still not perfect. It doesn't seem to render Jalopnik/Oppo correctly (some images show as random letters). There are other websites it doesn't render properly either.
I'm thinking of returning it. Maybe give Android another shot since it's been a while or even (gasp) try a new BB.

Both Android and BB have changed quite a bit. If you want apps and an open system, Android is the answer. BB is still pretty good for work related stuff as well as some social stuff, due to BBM.

Yeah it's been a couple years since I tried Android so I'd have to try it again to be fair. If I did I'd go for the upcoming Nexus phone.
I really want to try the new BB handset with the physical keyboard. I was going to try that first but I checked the news on the day I picked up my Windows Phone and the BlackBerry sale fell through that day. I just dunno if they can survive until my next upgrade is available...
