It's shit. Exchange also uses it's engine as an information store (more or less). Aaah microsoft. As for the quality of the "databases" made in it, well ... blame the users.

Ugh. Such a pain in the ass. I hate that it doesn't have all of the neat features that Excel has to manipulate data easily. I end up copying the data out, tweaking things in Excel, then pasting it back. Always a touch scary doing that, but Access just blows.

A well planned DB can be very intuitive and easy to work on in Access.

But I've felt more success on Excel for simple things (even though it'll look amateur as f) and full on SQL + interface for more complex stuff.

Its hard enough trying to keep track of whos fucking who, but doing it with a shitty db program? Naw braw, fuggit dat.
