On November 10th, 1775, the Continental Marines were formed in Philadelphia to serve as Naval Infantry. Ever since the United States Marines have distinguished themselves as fierce warriors, leaders, and great Americans willing to serve their nation at home and abroad, often the first to go in and fight when necessary. They're not just warriors. The Marines are active in their communities and are widely know for their "Toys for Tots" program, bringing Christmas gifts to underprivileged children.
