Inspired by mr Satriafanboy, plus the facts that Jalopnik said Indonesia is the third most expensive country to own cars, this is the cheapest car you can buy uin Indonesia Right now. The Daihatsu Ayla.
It's 7600 bucks for the cheapest model, the D. With no airbag, no ac (yes, NO AC), no Radio, Manually operated power windows, no disc brakes (It's still stuck in drum brakes), and 13" Alloy Wheels, and manual transmisson.
The engine was 998cc inline 3, producing 65hp and 87Nm of torque. But it got arround 60mpg.
If this Indonesian Made cars sold in your country, would you buy it?

It is also the forefather to "Simplify, and add lightness", something Toyota, Daihatsu, Suzuki, Proton (and anyone else) knows NOTHING ABOUT. :I

Wow No A/C. that option made the Perodua Viva looked more luxurious than the Ayla.

I think I would ad the air conditioning option, but otherwise, if I needed something just to get from a to b on and wasn't concerned too much about comfort or power or...any of the other things I find myself concerned with when I drive, then, yes....maybe. If I were a broke as college student that needed a reliable car and there was nothing better available used, then yes. ...Who am I kidding? I'd rather walk than drive that.

nah, used car in here is downright million times better than that.

Yep.
This car mostly bough by rentals, people only interested the top-end of the aylas or even bought the more luxurious Ayga or Brio.

I would, but I am an anomaly; an American that likes itty-bitty barebones cars.

I will now make sure my next car has a "dashboard interior".
