Welcome to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ! The one thing that separates Formula 1 from any other motorsport is the absurd level of engineering and aerodynamic advancement that the teams push on each other, and we are here to appreciate, discuss, and revel in the beauty of design on the current limits of speed.

Open discussions in the comments section are welcomed and promoted. I will post a few pictures that I've found interesting on a particular race weekend, and hopefully we'll get some great discussions stirring!

Monza Grand Prix

Red Bull

Kinja'd!!!

Many Formula 1, like this Red Bull chassis, cars use gold-lined areas to reflect heat and keep certain areas inside the car cooler.

McLaren

Kinja'd!!!

McLaren front brake detail. Like many up and down the grid, McLaren have chosen to implement a "duct-less" front brake duct. It's not really ductless, that wouldn't make any sense; instead, there is no outward sticking duct that interrupts the airflow in front of the sidepods. The air is let in between the tire sidewall and the that vertical piece of carbon. The curved vane of carbon sticking out of the right of the brake duct assembly is there to redirect the air in some way relative to how it will fall upon the sidepod area of the chassis.

The McLaren is adorned with a cascadeless front wing for Monza in order to reduce drag and improve speed around the mostly long straights that comprise Monza.

Sauber

Kinja'd!!!

The ducts on the Sauber's floor can be seen that divert the air from under the Red Bull style coanda exhaust to the center of the rear floor.

Williams

Kinja'd!!!

The rubber hydraulic line for the DRS is show sticking out of the Williams rear endplate. Williams, and every other team, is sporting a super-duper low downforce rear wing (yes, that's the technical term...).

Williams Gearbox. the phallic carbon on the right is the rear crash structure and carries the red-flashing light that displays by Charlie Whiting's command, usually in bad weather conditions.
