Well, to be fair, small pickup trucks and SUVs sell well in Thailand and surrounding areas, which is the second largest pickup truck market in the world.

I don't see any plans for a new Lancer. Is the Evo finally dead?

More like the second Isuzu, if they won't refocus on cars, after making some good money from people movers, and it would be a pity.

No, the global compact sedan will be developed with Renault-Nissan(it's not a strategic model), and I hope that won't be just a Samsung SM3 with a Mitsubishi badge. The fate of the Evo hasn't been decided yet.

Still a small market overall compared to mature markets.

They'll only be making SUVs, minivans and crossovers then?

I hope they still think about cars and wagons and some sports car, otherwise they'll end up like Isuzu. I can't remember when was the last time I saw a new Isuzu somewhere that wasn't some documentary of Southeast Asia.

Also, are they NOT making the 2-door Pajero/Montero? Are they crazy?

Americans still buy trucks, crossovers and SUV's, Isuzu wold sell well quite a few cars in America, if GM would let it.

Well, their R&D budget will grow with about 30% until 2016, on what will they spend it, I don't know, considering they will have less platforms, and models.

Well, Thailand and Cambodia are relatively mature markets, in terms of pickup sales, considering that GM and Toyota build their small pickups there for local consumption, and the midsize pickups are offered in Thailand/Cambodia instead of US, since they sell much better there.
