My dog would not tolerate a cat in her house. It would be hunted down immediately and dealt with with extreme prejudice.

Now my sisters Chihuahua can steal her big bed all day long and force her to sleep in the chihuahua sized bed without much complaint. . . Damn bossy 5 pound animals bossing animals that are 11 times their size. . .

My cat, Jaspers, wouldn't dare coming near the dog's bed. That bed belongs to Tara, a Greyhound/Whippet mix. Tara is faster, more nimble and more focused than the tabby. He remembers when he would taunt her, back in the day. She'd turn around for the chase, he'd attempt a sly jumping maneuver, and she'd catch him midair. Every time. Since those early days, he has not attempted - even once - to get in her way, tease her, taunt her, or take anything that is hers. She is head bitch and he is just a cat. A cat that learned his place in the hierarchy of things.
