It starts out pretty normal then goes into wtf zero runoff mode. I'd be totally lying if I said it wasn't amazingly fun if a bit scary.

I'm gonna guess 964 Porsche 911 from the gas fill location, steering wheel/dash, wheels, and amount of funky understeer going on.

Grass = runoff. I see no problems here

It rained the day before. Going sideways off the pavement could have been disaster.

I get more and more envious of the AutoX scene in the US the more time goes on.
I really want something in the UK that you can just rock up to in your own car, no race licenses, minimal risk of damage, and race competitively.
There's trackdays and karting out the wazoo and, and lots of amateur motorsport series, but no real step in-between.
We've got the gateway drugs but from there it's straight onto white powder in club toilets.

Looked a little boring to me. Not enough technical work, lots of long slaloms. We you concerned that the grass didn't count as runoff? From what I could see this looked like a pretty safe course. The whole time I just kept thinking "those poor workers". There must have been a million of them out there to watch all those cones on the far end and to ensure people were doing the slaloms the right way.

So soft and boggy with risk of digging in and rolling over if you hit it sideways? That would indeed suck, especially in an uncaged car

Is this an automatic? Props for the control though. Definitely makes it look easy.

No, I shift right after the start and use 2nd the whole remainder of the run.

Course looks fun as. At least there was grass, better than giant concrete barriers.

Aaaahhh what I would do to drive a track layout like that.
We only have small parking lots here that make for slow runs, but still have a high degree of danger.
Mind you, there's no association of any kind regulating this, it's an event that was organized by mechanic students in the UANL and ITESM, but it's been over a year since the last one.

Holy crap. I take it there are rules against cutting down trees...

There have been less dangerous layouts in that same parking lot.
Unfortunately that day two cars suffered serious suspension damage for hitting the curbs around the trees, but they were first timers.
However, on the next season the organizer changed the layout to avoid any sharp corner around the trees... some guy still managed to smash his dad's brand new STI against a concrete pillar on the service are while trying to showoff.
