I'm watching a show by request of one of my friends. It's about a girl otaku who's obsessed with jellyfish that falls in love with a rich cross-dresser. But the weirdest part? It's actually pretty damn good.

The characters are all well-rounded and likable. In fact most of the characters have a good reason they are the way they are. The comedy is spot on and it's one of the funniest shows that i've ever seen! If you want to watch it, it's called "Princess Jellyfish" and it's available for streaming on Hulu. It's weird, but hilarious.

Oh and it's also by the same studio who did baccano, durarara, penguindrum, and a little show called SPICE AND WOLF!

Otaku (/?) is a Japanese term that refers to people with obsessive interests, commonly the anime and manga fandom.

It's part of the name of one of our sister sites, Kotaku! C'mon man!

Otaku is someone that is completely over the top with the love of games, anime, or manga. Like I don't even consider myself an otaku. I'm more of an anime fan, I watch it and talk about it but my life doesn't revolve around it.

I've also had some friends (who are definitely Otaku) describe them as having any particular obsession, not just anime/manga/games, so in a sense we're all car Otakus.
