So, the dealer confirmed what was already obvious to me. Leak between engine and oil pan and betweeen engine and transmission. Good thing I do my own oil changes or I wouldn't have caught it until it was out of warranty.
Also, so I get to drive a new 2014 Malibu. TOTAL CRAP. I miss my manual transmission sure, but I don't remember such clunky shifts in automatics from cars 20 years ago. Also, the lighting is absolutely annoying and the arm rests are too low, which make extended drives uncomfortable. The 6 o'clock position on the steering wheel is unusable due to an insert, so you can't move your hand position as much to get comfortable due to lack of useful armrests. Can't stand the radio controls either. With that said, it looks nice in the driveway .

Also, is it wrong of me to think maybe I should get rid of this thing before it needs new tires? Oil leaks at 31,000 miles are not very good signs of things to come.
