'99 4Runner Limited - Multi-Mode 4wd w/ rear locker - 171k miles - $3950

It's got Michelin XC LT4 tires with supposedly 75% tread left, no rust, only thing wrong with it is a little worn leather on the driver's seat and the power antenna's stuck.

I called the dude selling it and I miiight pick it up tonight if he's available (and it checks out)!

Should be about ready for its second timing belt/water pump combo. That's all these things really need. It's crazy.

My dad bought a gently-used '98 in 2000 and recently sold it to my older brother. It has been across the country, currently has about 250,000 miles on it, and runs exactly the same way it when he bought it. I think they replaced the clutch once (after teaching my brother and I how to drive a stick), which was the only big repair it needed in 13 years. They're absolute tanks.

Toyota was really on top of its game in the late 90's for trucks.

The timing belt is non interference, so drive it til it rips. As for the water pump, broken water pumps are a bad thing. I have learned my Toyota water pump lesson.
