A while back I came across a dark blue Evora on the way home. The way home, as it turns out, was a twisty road, recently repaved. Since then I haven't seen another Evora, which is a pity as I think they're gorgeous inside and out.

I've never seen an Evora in real life. Always wanted to.

Shit this Evora is at Texas Direct Auto! Also known as the greatest car dealer of all time. They sell 2000 cars a month, 1000 on ebay and 1000 in person. None of their sales staff know anything about any of the cars because they turn over their 2000 car lot every month, they're just there to do paperwork. The only haggling you can do on price is if you buy it in person you can get $500 off because they don't have to pay ebay, but their prices are pretty good because they just sell in volume.
But I'm digressing, this is why they are the greatest car dealer ever: Unlimited, unsupervised test drives. You show up, show them your drivers licence and proof of insurance and they give you a wrist band. That allows you to test drive pretty much anything (I never asked about the ferraris and stuff they have on the show room floor). I went there and test drove a Boss Mustang 302, Cayman S, Z06, and a S4. And since they don't send a salesman with you, I drove em like I stole em. Dumping the clutch etc. I would never buy a sports car there because of this exact reason but it's a great place to drive a bunch of cars all in one day.
Might have to go there again to check this one out.

Sure wish there were a place like that around here. Never mind driving, I'd just like to ogle cars without getting harassed.

Good to know this about Texas Direct. This is the very same auction I've been eyeing for sometime now as I'm in the process of shopping for an Evora. Just waiting for the end of the year tick over to see if I can get some lower price after new year, but I get the urge to just plunk down on this listing for an immediate gratification every time I browse ebay.

This is the type of car that would be less likely to be hooned there because it's more exotic. Find out if it's in the showroom, they get taken out a lot less. And it doesn't have a clutch that an asshole like me can dump without care.

Shit, I might have to take a little drive while I'm home for thanksgiving...

Evora photos are always nice, but seeing one in person is quite an experience comparable (in my opinion) to seeing a F458 or any other much more expensive exotics in person. And spotting evoras in the wild are rare opportunities, unless you own one or live by a lotus dealer, due to the brand being such a niche mark. I believe the numbers from the first delivery up back in 2010 to now is still under 1000 for US. Somewhere around 800 total is closer to the actual numbers. I see more lambos and ferraris on regular basis and have only seen the evora once on the 405 (minus the time I was at the newport dealer for my test drive).

Right, I've seen a couple lambos, aston martins, few maseratis, etc. and even a few Elise/Exiges. Never an Evora. I also don't spend as much time in the upper-class areas of the state as I used to, so that's probably got something to do with it.
