It seems to be based on a Brough Superior SS100. The 100 was meant to indicate the top speed. If one of their bikes was unable to "hit the ton" then you could return it to the company for a refund.

That's hot.

A bit busy to see all that is going on, but very well done.

Obviously someone wants a brand new, modern Brough Superior SS100. And they have it.

I really like the steampunk vibe it gives off.

Check out George Brough's personal 'SS100 Alpine Grand Sport' concept motorcycle...

Kinja'd!!!

The 1,000cc V-twin Brough Superior SS 100 was guaranteed to do 100 mph, and in 1925 George Brough himself won the Austrian Speed Trials on this very bike.

It was steampunk before it became 'punk' as a retro thing... but actually among the first generation of motorcycle rebellion and speed lust.

Lord have mercy...

I suddenly want to quit my job and become a motorcycle courier just so I can ride that every day.

I don't think a courier would risk a bike in traffic that was estimated north of 600K$, and didn't clear reserve at ~430K$, so didn't sell.

But it would be a great bike to ride. I can see why someone built a new version from modern parts.

Meh, anyone with a welder and a bit of spare time could surely build a replica that has exactly the same appeal. $600k is for suckers!
