I found some interesting information recently. The Cadillac Deville was offered in DTS trim with an optional night vision assist feature from MY 2000-2004. It was seen as one of those gimmicky features at the time, which is why it was discontinued for 2005.
The technology, however, is FLIR(foward-looking infrared), which is exactly the same technology used in the Apache helicopter to get pictures !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in complete darkness.
Needless to say, I want one. If you're lucky, as some people are, you can find them in tact on 00-04 Devilles for less than $300. That's way better than $1000+ you can find online and for similar tools. So if anybody sees one, let me know!

My grandmother had a 2002 deville and I never knew this existed as an option

Nobody really does, which is why you can get lucky if a junkyard has one and doesn't even know

Surprisingly clear. And in typical GM fashion, it's a heads up display on the windshield.
Here's a video where someone took the cadillac system and hooked it up with a pan/tilt sytem and put it in their jeep.

I drive with one everyday! My 2001 had it too, though it was cracked and I ended up scrapping that car anyways. My 2002's works and its neat!
