Had my first day of working 9-5 monday to friday. It was actually really great. Probably no Oppoing at work since it is fairly fast paced, which is good because it keeps me busy and makes time go by real fast. I'm so glad I held out and found a job in my field that will pay decent and is in an awesome place. This wasn't car related so here is what is apparently called the revenger. One more after the jump that kind of ruins things. Not near as good as an RWB

I never really thought I would work a 9-5 but this works real well for me. If all goes as planned, I will eventually be able to go off on my own and work from home and create my own hours, working remotely from wherever I happen to be with an internet connection.

Nice. I worked from home for a year. Very cool except I ran out of money.

It can definitely be tough but if you have reliable consistent clients it can be the greatest thing ever

That's a very pleasant amount of work. I'm 7:30-4 M-F, then about 12 hours a week of side work that I can do from home.

Yeah, I thought I did. Turns out I didn't. Plus I thought my wife was going to get a job, and she still hasn't. So that didn't help much. It was still better than where I used to work, and I made it a whole year before deciding to quit. It was a nice experience.

no.. no.. just no...

It sucks working 9-5 because everything else in the business world you might need to go to during those hours is closed the same time you leave... Need to hit up the bank for some hunnits so you can make it rain this weekend... nope... Need to stop by the dentist so they can get that stylin grill put in, better take a few hours of PTO.... and fuhgettaboutit if you want to stay up late watching F1 and sleeping past your alarm... the ole "I was watching F1 late last night" excuse doesn't work with the boss man

I had to go to the bank today and they closed at 6! Everything else though is true. Although it is fairly laid back

My bank closes at 5, well its a credit union...sooo very limited on branch selection but the main branch is .5 miles from my front door.

This week I am working from home because I had to shift my hours to match that of Hawaii.. Technically, right now I am working...no, not really.

I only had to go to the bank to pay rent. I actually bank, well actually just deposit checks, at the UPS Store which has much more flexible hours. My bank also reimburses me for fees on something ridiculous like 20-25 atm withdrawals a month

Thanks I am super excited about it. Especially not having to wear a button up shirt and tie. Also it's an open cubicle? more just like a corner of the building, it's all pretty open. Real relaxed but stuff gets done
