Yeah, yeah, I'm a day late. I figured you all probably saw enough of it yesterday that you didn't need another one, plus I was busy. It was nice meeting all of you that I did meet (both Opponauts and friends), and for those of you that I didn't, I'll be sure to find you next time and give you a big hello. If you had a car in the show, its probably in here, but no promises. Additionally, in the process of going through my newly-found camera, I found some pretty sweet pictures, so enjoy those too.
Why did I choose this cover photo? Because it perfectly symbolizes Caffeine and Carburetors for those of you who have never made it. Here is a racing-badged Ford GT, parked next to a minty NSX. And no one even looks. They blend like a Camry. That's because, all together, there were 5 Ford GTs on the day. Its insanity, cars that you've dreamed of seeing quickly become invisible, especially to the more quirky and weird cars, like this Fiesta:
Or like the now-Oppo-famous SR20ed Datsun Roadster I've posted about. A full year later, and it finally returns. This time, there is no shortage of photos from all angles.
This is the second Saleen S7 I've seen in my life. They're large.

The two ST's that flew by us on the Merritt, and the Elise that was part of the convoy of friendship that was formed on the way down. Look how small it looks.
My car, coincedentally parked next to the ultra-low mileage Alfa owned by Mr.505Turbeaux. On the left of that is the Mercury owned by Shelbyracer78.
Offroadkarter's ridiculously badass Marauder. Dude, my god.
Always thinking of you, Bandit.
Think I might have gotten you on the way out, Jan.
You can view the rest of the pictures on my bucket.
As a thank you for viewing, here's some of the stuff I found on my camera.
The Turner-Modified Frost Gray M3. The light was right, the track was right...it was just right.
A brief justification-This picture is at Infineon Raceway, on November 2nd, 2010. Those are the first Challenger 392s ever made, about to undergo their first pre-release testing and thrashing. That's right, I got a spy picture at the age of 13. +1 for family vacations equalling visits to Laguna Seca and Infineon.
Thanks all.

I am 190e30's brother and also remember those challengers. Here's a link to the full story.

Next time I'll make sure my car is actually clean for this. I had to laugh today as I walked out to class and saw the bottom of my doors were dirty, and the tops were half ass wiped down from when I went over it with quick detailer real quick.

you dont understand how small an elise is, until you see it next to a fiesta. WHOA.

So true. My dad has had a few through the years, and it's always that side-by-side view that makes even the sportiest little coupe look colossal.

That side-by-side view makes me cry a little inside when i see pics like this, because I am 6'2'', and i will never fit in an elise lol

They're actually surprisingly more spacious than you'd expect. I'm 5'11'', and have absolutely infinite room. My dad took several people over or around 6' on rides in it, and they were all fine. The biggest issue is getting in. Since you're basically sitting inside of the chassis, there's a (roughly) 8" wide hunk of metal between the actual opening of the door and the seat that's at the height of your ankles. Once you figure out a technique to get in, its fine for the most part.
If you ever see a Lotus around somewhere, I would probably ask to sit in it and see if I fit. Most Lotus drivers are nice guys and will probably say yes, plus if you fit, then they're pretty much unbeatable. From the ridiculously absurd VVT (its almost like coming on all the boost at once, even though there is none-it's that ridiculous) to the go-kart handling to the bulletproof reliability, you really could use one almost every day.

Hopefully i get the chance soon! in the meanwhile Ill start saving up. I sat in a Gallardo once, and i remember it being tight, with barely any visibility, but the elise/exige seems like it would be more spacious, so i think that is a viable option for a dream car!

I knew it was a matter of time until this happened...
Red arrow is me (in the brown hood), and the yellow arrow is my friend who came up with me from Staten Island.

Aw man! So close.
That's me in the hoodie. Not that it really reveals much, but it's the best I have from the day of.
