!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! OEM badge from ECS tuning will set me back $117. I'm gonna go ahead and vote CP on that one.

$117 for a badge? Who in the actual fuck do they think they are?

No fucking clue. I can get a straight chrome one on Ebay for $40, and even that seems like a bit much. It probably has something to do with the MkIV GTI badges not being put on the standard GTI, only a few low-volume special editions.

Heh, I think you missed a decimal there. They can't be asking more than $10 for a badge. No one's that retarded.
Edit: Clicked on the link. WTF man.

You should get one that says "Bruce" instead.

Time to start 3d printing our own.

Why not this one?

Fitment says its yes to Mk4s

Could you find a stick on one, maybe like whatever goes on the hatch?
I stuck an RS badge on the grill of my car, and even though it's only sticking to an inch long strip of plastic, it's held on really, really well. It's been on for a month and gone through an automatic car wash, I'm stunned.

I've looked at those, but they appear to be pretty cheap, and despite claiming "universal" fit I don't see how that mounting system would match up with the MkIV grille securely. Thankfully, I just found an OEM plain chrome version from ECStuning for about $30 which should do nicely.

Good idea, but I'm looking for something to go in between the grille slats like the OEM badge.

Is there nothing to stick to between them?
Can't say I'm especially familiar with the GTI

Not really. I've got two horizontal slats just kinda floating out in space, along with a couple vertical bracing slats buried an inch or two back behind the grille (hence the cutouts on the linked badge).

As a 'murican, I've got no idea what a Bruce is :p

Shame. I guess you'll just have to print out a GTI logo and tape it to the grill.

Not a bad idea... I did just find a source for the all-chrome OEM grill badge for less than $40 shipped, though. I'll probably just go with that.

Sadly, the images don't load anymore.

LOL @ you bitching about that. People sell used GLI badges for Mk2's for more than that.
Don't worry, I think it's ridiculous too...

Well, when every other badge for my car goes for around $30, it is pretty absurd :p

Nice! If you're deadset on red you could plastidip it. Plastidip seems to work well on small parts.

Well plastidip worked just fine for my grille :p I think that chrome would look better, anyways. The red would be too much red, methinks.
