So, the state police highly frown upon a car that will far a 5 foot flame on overrun. I was not speeding, I let off at the top of second gear as I shifted into third, saw an orange flash and then Blue LED's flashing behind me moments later.

I feel your pain.

My bike shot flames and got me pulled over. Never happened with my E30 luckily it shot the occasionally fireball.

My reply "Well it helps people get off my ass pretty quick"

He wasn't happy. But as I was not speeding, or breaking any laws, and he had no decibel reading on my exhaust he could not cite me on anything.

This car just farts fireballs when it feels like it....

This was by far the biggest, I saw black smoke pouring just before it pooted. I was proud :)

his car runs pig rich for a reason though. Last engine on the car ran a little to lean at high RPM and blew out some ring lands. So this one running rich helps prevent that bit. And it only smokes like that when I go to shift.

I saw this flame in the mirror, bot windscreen mounted and the drivers door mirror, the jersey barrier and off the front of the cop car.

I loved it. I was smiling like a pig in shit.

Hmph. And here, my side exhaust won't spit flame. True, it's running lean, me thinks. 460cc injectors should fix that problem.

Mine has stock injectors, given they are Opel Racing Injectors, and stock intank pump, which i may replace for a more LPH one so I don't over bear the current OEM one.

And my tune is setup to run pig rich at WOT

I can give you a list...

Illegal exhaust (no cats no mufflers)

Louder than reasonable exhaust (can be heard up to 3 miles away)

Operating an unsafe vehicle (for the fire)

Incomplete car (no front bumper)

Failure to display (no front plate)

And I think that is it.

Mine could use a decent tune. I'm running a MegasquirtIII, and it should be running decent at WOT, but I am going to change it a little, as it's been misfiring/backfiring at full throttle.
