Lexus is bringing a few cars, and one of them is going to be a 1st gen IS because they are celebrating the "past and present" of the IS series. I've heard its turbo'd (maybe supercharged, I forget) and has a lot of custom work. I'd like my car to look like it!

Awesome; they should just keep celebrating the past IMO. Give me an ls400, 1st gen gs300, and first gen IS, and they've got a good lineup. lol

I really like the first gen IS. It was the first Lexus that sold in large enough numbers that you could see them in Munich, BMW capital. And they were good looking as well, right up there with the 3-series, A4, C-class.
Too bad they couldn't keep up with that. Right now, I can't even really remember when I saw the last Lexus. Maybe on ethe SUVs but not a sedan, or even a wagon.

The wagons are really rare here in the US. The sedans are uncommon, but not rare. I've got one!

Hey, their new stuff is really good! I mean, not everything (RX, ES, etc), but the new IS is awesome, the GS is awesome, and the LS is awesome still. I mean come on, they made the LFA. I'd say Lexus is doing as well as they did in the 90s right now!

True, not to mention the ISF; I still like many of their offerings. My sister used (I say used to with such sadness) to be friends with the son of a huge Toyota dealer, and he had an LFA. I once rode in the beast—that made my year. Akio Toyoda had just left their house a day before I went to take a ride in their Supra, which had a dead battery (which is how I ended up in an LFA, haha).

I've seen a few LFA's (there's one on display at my local dealer), but never have sat in one. Lucky!

It was pretty incredible. I will always remember it as the best enthusiast experience of my life. That's pretty cool that you've seen a few—the only one I have ever seen is that which I rode in. He took my sister 120 on an overpass, and my jaw dropped when I heard that. They were unbelievably unpretentious, but my sister isn't friend with the guy anymore because he just drinks all day in bars around D.C. He was the type of person who would hire people just because it was cool, and I probably could have gotten a job at the dealership because of my knowledge of business and cars I displayed on that day (which makes it suck all the more). Not that that's why I would try to be friends with someone, but I'm just sayin'.

I've seen two at car shows (not cars and coffees), and then that one at the dealer.

Whoa, that's cool. I was looking for a youtube video of some Toyota workers in Japan hooning an LFA in a warehouse prior to delivery, but it seems like the internet police took it down. It always brought a smile to my face to see them doing drifting donuts in a car they couldn't afford in a million years, haha.
