My heater core is leaking from the input pipe (the top one in the picture). It appears part of the hose got sheared off in the engine installation.

I hate the placement of heater cores. Do you live somewhere, that you can just take the outer hose's and use a fitting to on the inside of the engine bay to bypass it for a while? Or are you a person that lives somewhere you need heat in the car?
