My mom asked me to fill her car (2003 Thunderbird) up with gas before they arrive in town later today. That sentence makes it sound like I am 16 years old, but in actuality I am a full grown semi mature adult in my 30's, who's not past doing things for dear mum if she asks. I figured I would stop by Total Wine since I'm out and grab some bourbon for my buddy's birthday. Ending up buying Mitchner's - can't wait to try it, I love their rye so this must be good too. When I got back out to the car it would not start, so called AAA after trying to jump it for half an hour. These are cars I saw drive by or park in the lot while I was waiting:
First off was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in one of his Ferraris, I think it was the 308 he was in. He also has a '62 250 GTO I've seen him in around town. Here he is with some of his collection, via google:
After him an MP4-12C cruised past. Saw a P1 earlier this week, never thought I would see one of those in the wild!
Then an Audi R8. Not too rare, but worth mentioning
An XK Jaaaaaaggggg convertible came to the parking lot twice in a 1 hour time span. Weird thing was it had the old school jag hood ornament, looked really weird on such a sleek car.
Then 2 older guys rolled into the parking lot in a Ferrari California, identical to the one in this pic. They must have just bought it, because one of them got out and started taking pictures of it in the lot.

I just woke up, and my brain isn't warmed up yet... so when I looked at this, I saw "Cars I saw while waiting for AA"
That, along with the high-end cars, and alcohol... Heh.

I failed to mention that the Lamborghini dealership is half a block down the street so I think the R8, MP4-12C, and California are related to that fact.

I know that feel! I'm into my 30s as well but guess who has to take mum's car to get it serviced EVERY FUCKING TIME!
O.K. she lives and works in Switzerland where BMW stealerships charge even more than in Gemany, so it makes sense to have it serviced over here. And yes, the only time the car can be dropped off on work days is when she and my stepdad go on vacation. And again yes, I happen to live in the area and as a teacher get the occasional afternoon "off". It's not like I have a shit ton of other stuff to do like grading papers and planning lessons, but who cares. As a good son, I always say yes when they ask me. Although they don't realize how much time the complete round trip including picking my own car up again and so on takes me.
