Got one strut replaced on the Camry. Taking a break. I forgot how much I hate working on cars.

I just did these 2 months ago! Quick struts are awesome
The fronts are easy and did them in 1.5 hours; the rears I found much more difficult and took me a whole day!

I had put new sway bar links on the front last year, so they came off easy. The rears? Fuuuuuuckin stuck. A little persuasion got them off, saving me from buying new ones. And they arent making noise so BONUS! Started at 2 and was done by 6, including checking the alignment and several breaks. Its nice to have a shop full of tools and a lift to use......

I did mine on the street with basic tools.
My struts, and the links, were all the original ones made in November 1995!
I used 2 cans of PB blaster for the job!

I'm thinking mine were original too.... still had Toyota tags on them with a bunch of numbers beyond just the part number.
Just needed a spritz of PB, and some CRC Freeze Off for the rear link nuts. The car has amazingly little rust for as old and as many miles as it has. Plus its spent all its life in the rust belt.

Oh wow that tag looks good! My tags were rusted off, faded, and unreadable except for the date.The Toyota brand and part number were etched on the metal strut body itself.
My left rear strut's spring fell out of place!
