Look or sound?

I will always love anything sporty out of the VW house, especially the VR6 R32.

500 Abarth

One of the biggest reasons I almost bought one- and also why I did not. Every time I hear one It makes me regret my decision a little.

A Maserati GT is damn near unbeatable for anything stock and not a supercar.

Dodge Neon SRT-4, because no mufflers comes stock.

Maserati without a doubt. I think there was a study that found that the sound of a Maserati was more likely to arouse a woman than any other car.

Edit: I remembered correctly. Here it is .

Because I wanted a Mustang in the running.

Really, any of the recent Shelby's from the Super Snake, to Cobra Jet (I know, but still...) to the GT350's make such great exhaust noises that if I modern "stock" Pony were to make the list it'd pretty much have to be a Shelby.

Agree?

And I mean A Shelby, not A Shelby GT500 from Ford. Although, that Boss exhaust is something amazing!

Ever hear a first gen Camaro with the chambered exhaust system? It's basically straight through and what they put on COPO cars and other high performance models. Sweet.

Jag F-Type V8 by far. Not only because of how good it sounds, but because of how obnoxiously loud it is. The stock exhaust on that car is louder than most aftermarket exhausts, how they got away with that I don't know.

Came here to say the same thing. Especially the supercharged 5.0. I have always loved the deep, throaty exhaust note that these engines produce. Simply crisis inducing.

Whatever you might think about Ferrari as a company or their cars you cannot disagree that they sound awesome.

This. A million times this.

Jaguar F-Type comes a close second. As does a V12 Vantage. Realise I sound properly Britsh-centric now (I am a Brit though). Erm... The 4.2 V8 in the Audi RS 4 is dirty and mechanical enough to make me go wibbly, too.

The SLS AMG has the best exhaust I've heard in person, although the clips of the V8S F-Type and F12 the I've heard are righteous too. I didn't get to air it out, but I did get to rev a C7 Stingray with the active exhaust a little bit, and it's the best thing I've heard on the "affordable" end of the spectrum.

It's a bit cheeky to say AMG as they are tuners of stock Mercs - unless it was something like the SLS which the AMG version is also the stock version.
