I mentioned some of the cars that I got to see at the Lingenfelter Collection last week. Here are some of the pictures. My co-worker still hasn't sent me the photos from his camera that have many of the american cars, so this will have to serve to fulfill the SR20 rule:

Needless to say, it was a lot to take in at once, but next week is SEMA, so it's probably good practice being overwhelmed.

Where in Detroit is the Lingenfelter Collection? Looks magnificent. Is it open to the public?

Although there are far more desirable cars in there like the GTO and the F40, the Vector always makes me feel warm on the inside.

How does a mere plebe get into SEMA? I thought it was only for people in the industry.

I do work in the industry, so I'll be manning my company's booth, but they actually do sell tickets to the general public. Anyone can get in these days.

Not sure if they have regular hours, but they have a website:

http://www.thelingenfeltercollection.com/

It's right across the street from Jeff's bronco graveyard apparently.

twin 88mm turbos, 2200HP. All carbon body panels, but retained interior and electric windows. They started it for us right there inside. I'm surprised the smoke detector didn't go off.

Honestly, I'd rather have a Vector in my garage over a Veyron or Revention

If this is the right car-collection person then I believe there's a funny story behind this Vector. Mr. Lingenfelter wanted the Chevy-powered twin-turbo W8 before stumbling across a M12 at an auction. He won the car but didn't know that it was basically a re-skinned Lambo, not the bowtie supercar. He used to hide it in the very back of his collection out of shame.

Did not know that. Great news. Maybe next year. Just got put out of business by Obamacare, so I am watching my $ right now. Thanks for the info.
