They're wearing you down. The only reason they haven't attacked the engine is because they don't know how cars work yet. But they already know you are powerless to escape once they take the car out of the picture.

Of course. Here in NYC it's a $500 fine. It seems to like our phones as it has jumped on them. This isn't the first time one has been on my car either. He crawled back on to my roof so I'm just going to let him sunbath there :-D.

Idk, not into suicidal circumstances lol. But to further explain...a month back was H2Oi, drove down to OC MD. Bringing in to the rental house the last of the stuff I packed into the wagon, I see this little mantis about to get squished in the spring loaded door, get some paper and gently scoot him out. Next day...boom! Car over heats on the way to breakfast. limp back, spend all day trouble shooting, give up and go to sleep. Next morning hes chilling on my back tire....In the end we didnt have the parts need to fix her, but I learned a shit ton. Towed the bitch home by Tuesday, fixed!
The next damn weekend...my cars fuel pump dies. Later that night I come in from walking the dog...and inside the house another damn mantis! This one was huge and just chilling on the door frame. Get a broom, he climbs on (the big ones are fast) barely got out the door and hes almost to my hand...gently place the broom against the house and he climbs up on to the wile and chills in that general area for 4 days...
Me and my positive thinking took it as an omen to be patient lol Ive managed to fix all my car issues..but with these damn audis...you never know...

Had one I captured and kept for a few weeks before I released it. They are machines when it comes to capturing and eating prey. Grabbed it by the Thorax. (The section between the head and abdomen) Them things are muscular.

Yeah when it jumped on me it slightly terrified me as well, but I just got him to crawl onto an object and set him back on my roof. I thought he left but then I found him on my right rear Pirelli....not a good place. I used a leaf to get him back onto the body.

I posted my story in this thread, find it, read it, love it. And another funny detail was the first one was on my right rear as well (second time I saw him) but since the car couldnt be driven I didnt bother to move him, he had plenty of time to get away.

Great story. Audi's and praying mantis' don't seem to mix LOL. I've had 2 water pump failures on my GTI but neither happened before or after a praying mantis on it. 850 miles and 8800 miles. My first reaction was thankfully its a lease. Covered under warranty though...

Nature has it out for quattro, my car is pushing 13 so warranty is me and a box of tools LOL. The H2O incident was a failed thermostat, and though I did find a replacement the thermostat housing, made of fine german plastic, was absolutely shit. But that wont effect me anymore, replaced it with an aluminum one. David 1 germans 0..
PLASTIC I couldnt believe it...but nothing is made to last now a'days.

That's nothing....MK6 GTI water pumps are PLASTIC. Now i've got the mostly metal verison. All VW/Audi 2.0 TSI's at some point had water pumps.

SMH...and BMW switch to electric water pumps and thermostats...yay more shit thats going to fail when ever it wants to..
Another thing to note, I drive a b5 S4..so everything comes off else you cant do anything lol. Best part about the H2O butt hurt, I had been saying to my other b5 buddies how I havent had to pull the bumper or radiator...guess I spoke to loud. Checked all that off my list in one weekend..

For some reason, I just can't be open to Windows OS phones. I don't know why.
