Like many Jalops, I peruse Craigslist and waste my time drooling over projects and dreams. While searching for some weirder stuff (old Citroëns, Pugs, Lancias, etc.) I managed to come across what I consider one of the Craigslist greats. This guy strikes me as pretty damn Jalop, as well as pretty damn honest.
It's worth a read, and it's definitely worth some laughs.

Back in the day, I did have a Fiat 850 Spyder. It's exactly as he describes it except the Spyder is more rusty. I was driving down the interstate one day with my boss and we went over a bump (I think it was an expansion joint) and the seat rails broke through the floor and dropped about 2". What fun. My only saving grace was that this wasn't the worst car his employees drove. Another guy had a 1955 Chevy with a totally rusted out floor pan. He thoughtfully included 2x4 to rest your feet on and a blanket for your lap. Ah, Wisconsin.

There is some weird charm about cars like that, despite the loosening of one's bowels at every corner.

I carry a reminder of that car in the form of imbedded grease when the tension adjusting bold sheared off the generator. I learned that you could run a Fiat about 3 days to & from work until the battery needed to be recharged. Fun times.

That's actually pretty damn amazing. No wonder these things are so damn rare now.
