So my brother wants to get a old school 4x4 Ford pickup, something he can work on and enjoy under $3000 What do you say to this one? I talked to the guy and everything looks good except for some body work it needs. Cab corners, lower doors and some sanding here and there.

I'd say if it's all functional (4x4 and everything) it's a good buy.

How many miles are on it? That's what I'd want to know. If it's high, what's been rebuilt?
Considering the numbers are reasonable, I'd see the price is reasonable.

If everything works then your "brother" should go for it *wink* (No need to hide your truck love bro, this is a safe place brosef)
If you do get it start by changing out all the fluids, especially the differential and transfer case fluids.

No it totally is for my brother, and if you look at my long history of posting on the site, I have no issues exclaiming my love for all things truck, Note my username and the following picture of my baby.

Looks pretty clean. Mileage would be my main concern.
