Be careful just how far you go back .

That is an awesome ride, though. But I wouldn't want to crash in it.

If wanting a Step Down Hudson is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I've done the old car as DD thing. I'm too old for that shit now. The constant care that an old car requires is fine in a hobby car that you don't depend on to get you to and from work, but as a DD it's just too much.

Given the opportunity, I think I'd fine with the Hudson being parked in the driveway and that sex machine being parked in the garage.

For me it was an age thing. First (at age 1 or so) I was only interested in muscle cars. Then gradually 'til the age of 20, new cars became all the rage. It was at this point I can honestly say I had absolutely no interest in '50s cars. This came in my mid to late 20s. It wasn't until 30 that pre-war cars became an interest.

Yes. My mom was recently in the market for a new car. She ended up getting a 1.8tsi Passat. But when doing the shopping for her, it seemed every car had so many BS "features" that I had no desire for. And styling that was trying too hard to be unique, or trying too hard to to be "upscale". And everything came in packages. Why can't I just get a simple car with a few features? Why can't every car be available with bare bones models like the Wrangler, pickups, the Elise...
