I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Chrysler's pre-bk DOE money grab vaporware attempt.

Yeah, but that car is just an electric Lotus Europa. The real question is, why didn't Lotus sell that over here? It even had an American LNF engine!

Yeah, I was among the skeptics with this lot.
There was no way on earth they'd make a 4,500lb load-lugging, people-hauling Chrysler T&C a viable electric vehicle.
There was no way on earth they'd make a vehicle that is anti-aerodynamic like the Wrangler - suspension lift and all - a viable electric vehicle.
The rebadged Europa might have worked. But it was clear that there was no way on God's green earth that any of that was for real.
