Proton Suprima S. With Handling by Lotus.
It's imported from Malaysia, my little neighbour, powered by 1.6L Inline 4, designed to compete withe Ford Fiesta. Guess how much this car cost?
No, you're wrong. It's 27.5k USD.
27.5k in indonesia could get you one of these:
-Ford Fiesta ST
-Base model Focus
-Honda Fit
-Gently used E60 530i
-Gently used 120i
-Gently used C-Class Diesel Wagon with a Stick
-Cute little kei cars (Suzuki Wagon R, Honda N-Box, etc)
-and many others.
I Can't see why that chap buy a Proton. And no, that lotus badge won't fool anyone.

I was going to guess more. I've got a co-worker from Malaysia. He still has family there and was mentioning that a Honda Civic is in the 60-80K range and your average Proton was in the 45-50K range.
He could have been exaggerating though, he's known to do that.

In Malaysia. this thing is quite expensive and there's no manual option on the 1.6 turbo engine. I believe the manual version is still in development. For Malaysian standard, The Suprima is quite an achievement since it's more refine than other protons available here and pretty well equipped. imho the sedan is much better lol

No.
If i'm in malaysia i can't afford to drive a car.
Somehow everything is a bit more expensive there than in Indonesia. Altough not mad like Singapore or Brunei.

Kinda looks like a Sebring hatch from the side!
Also, misread the model name, thought it was the Proton Sumpria at first, which wouldn't surprise me, as Proton model names are hella weird.

Well, honestly i rather have a Fiesta ST.
It's cheaper at ~22.5k, proved really fun to drive, and there's a stick.
Or may as well go bonkers and buy a C220 CDI Wagon with a stick.
*altough i prefer have auto than manual for a daily driver

Well, when i saw it on the street i was thinking it's a Subie! :D
Maybe that's because in here, highways is completely unlit so it's hard to guess a car..
You have to check their other names as well.
There's the Savvy, the Persona, the Gen2 (but no Gen1), and many others.

Well, Fiesta is also a racecar.
Driven by Kenny from the block.

Well, it's not that expensive.
I think 60k is about Accord or Camry territory. Or Ironically, Audi A4 and the C-Class and the 3-Series.

I agree lol. Malaysians are desperately waiting for the fiesta ST. Even in Malaysia this thing is rare. If I had given a choice, I would pick a used BMW 735Li

Very good to know, thank you!

Well, we got those thing, but..
Weirdly, you have to ask the dealer first. Or you'll end up with Fiesta S.
7-series is quite plenty in here. But nobody sold their 7-Series, I don't know why. That's why i quit looking for one and buy W140 Mercedes instead.

a Mercedes W140. I love that over-engineered tanks. but sadly stupid government roadtax wont allow an average joe like me owning a S500 W140
